Trucks, trucks and more trucks

Our local science museum hosted a special event on Saturday called Hands On Trucks. I had no idea there would be so many different kinds of trucks there. They filled up two parking lots in front of the musuem and included several types of construction equipment, fire trucks, police vehicles, a mobile library, an ambulance, a bus and a Coca-cola truck. The boys had a fun time being able to crawl inside all kinds of trucks and play with the buttons and levers. Though J.D.'s favorite thing was playing with some homemade slime inside the museum.

My favorite was the ambulance. Does that seem strange? The paramedic was wonderful at explaining things to us. She is a mother of 8 (EIGHT?!) and talked to the boys about what to expect if God forbid they should ever need to ride in an ambulance. I think especially for Matt, who refuses to even let a nurse take his weight, it was good to get him familiar with it in a fun way. Let's just pray that will be our only time inside an ambulance.
