It's done!

One year filled with hours of studying and homework and group projects and research and writing papers and finally it's done! Lane has accomplished both a master's degree and a professional engineer's license. We are so proud of him and all his work.

It's been a lot for him to take on in one short year, not to mention our expanding family at home keeping him busy. He has been amazing at helping me with the kids, cooking for us, taking us fun places, and keeping us enjoying life, while managing to get a 4.0 his first semester! The second semester he succumbed to spending less time at his schoolwork so that he could focus on preparing for the professional engineer's (PE) exam. Even so, he still received mainly A's for his classes and passed the massive 8 hour PE exam.

He must admit that he is ready to get back to some real work. Studying seems to come easy for him but he doesn't enjoy it as much as getting out there and building things. We are all looking forward to his next job overseeing construction on a marine base. I know he will be as successful there as he has been here.
